Business Class Redemption to Italy???

Business Class Redemption to Italy???

  1. Anonymous Guest

    I have the following:
    -120K Citi ThankYou Points
    -200K Amex Rewards Points
-60K IHG Points (I know that’s pretty worthless for this kind of redemption, but all the same……..:)

I want to ideally redeem these points from LAX to FCO or MXP. I would like to get 4 roundtrip tickets, but I don’t think that’s going to happen (especially in biz). How do you think I should redeem these points?

    Thank you!!!!!

    Hey Matt!

So, your best chance for getting four tickets together in business class is going to be by leveraging upgrades on Alitalia. You can read more about that here:

You can use your Citi points to help with some of the expense of the base tickets, but I think that’s the most realistic option for four people together.

There are potentially alternatives as well, but they’d require more connections, and you’d likely need additional miles, so there might not be much of a savings in that case.
