Booking Lufthansa First Class

Booking Lufthansa First Class

    Hi Lucky!

Huge fan of your blog – thanks for all the awesome points and miles tips over the years!

I was wondering if there was any particular reason why people don’t book Lufthansa First Class using the Miles and More program. I’m eager to try out the A380’s first class from FRA-SFO next summer, but I don’t want to chance it by waiting until two weeks before I travel for them to release their availability to partners. I’m told availability is much better when just using Miles and More; is there any reason why I wouldn’t do this? Is it prohibitively expensive points-wise? I thought it wasn’t, but perhaps I’m wrong.

@AndrewPaloAlto — It’s really just that Miles&More are tougher to accrue, and the fuel surcharges are a turn off for many. We book a lot of people through M&M though, so people definitely do it, it just isn’t as publicly popular of an option.
