Booked a flight…now what?

Booked a flight…now what?

So I used some of my Aegean Miles+Bonus miles to book a flight on United. I no longer have Gold status with Miles+Bonus (I was downgraded to Silver); however I do have Gold status with another Star Alliance program. My United itinerary has my Miles+Bonus program information. Will I be able to enjoy Gold status benefits (lounge access, Premier Access, extra luggage allowance) by showing my Star Alliance Gold card at check-in even though I booked the award flight with an airline which I only hold Silver status? Can I just call United and ask them to update the frequent flier information?

@runnerdavid, in general you should be able to get access to all *Gold benefits with your card from the other airline. You could have them just add your FF no. from the other airline at check in and your boarding pass should show your credentials.
