Best way to get to LHR

Best way to get to LHR

What would be your best bet to go MSP-LHR and return either CDG-MSP or LHR-MSP?

Looking up on Google Flights, Delta is the only option for a direct flight and has the cheapest option if paying in cash.

What miles/points would you recommend redeeming for this flight route during Sept/Oct 2016? Would prefer Business/First class, but willing to go by Economy if the redemption cost is too expensive.

Can’t earn UR (due to Chase restrictions). There’s enough time to strategize earning other currencies for this redemption.

Welcome @Fez – you’ll need to consider what’s most important to you: the time saved with a non-stop vs. stopping somewhere and getting a better hard product.

Of course BA will have the most availability flying to/from LHR but there’s also those nasty fuel surcharges, unless you can find a flight on AA metal via ORD or JFK. Or you could fly United via, ORD or EWR. Not a great hard product but it’s a relatively short flight.

For the return you could fly Air France back to Detroit or Atlanta and connect to MSP. Assuming you’d be using Delta miles, business class is the best you’ll be able to do there. Of course the trick with Delta is you never know how many miles it will cost until you have your dates!
