Best use of Amex points
I have somewhere in the neighborhood of 800,000 Amex rewards points, and my wife and I can’t decide on how to redeem them. What would be your “best” (I know that’s subjective) use of them for 2 first class tickets? Ideal destinations are Europe or Asia/Pacific. Thoughts??
@JA1580 you’re listing practically half of the world’s landmass when you say Asia and Europe. Can you narrow down a destination you’d like to visit? Alternately, if it is about just flying well, you could look at Ben’s posts about the best first class products and plan a trip to a destination served by those airlines. I think this was the last list:

It is very subjecting and I agree with @Gaurav’s suggestion of trying to narrow down where you’d like to go before making a decision. There are a variety of transfer partners but I think the following are going to be the best options, in my opinion:
Aeroplan – Star Alliance awards that are reasomably priced. Some (like LH) will incur surcharges but can be worth it.
FlyingBlue – Promo Awards, plus some of their awards can be cheaper than booking with Delta
SkyMiles – SkyTeam Partner awards and if you’re lucky, you can tack on a safer positioning flight on Delta. Ben reviewed China Airlines recently and said some good things.
Etihad Guest – Etihad’s program is distance based but there are transfer bonuses sometimes and depending on where you’re flying, awards arent much more expensive than booking with AAdvantage miles.
Krisflyer – The only program that can access SQ premium cabin space. First and Suites class is fantastic but their business class is excellent as well.
