BA partner mileage chart award
Hello,
I am planning a wonderful trip with my partner next year using the mileage based partner award chart from the BA Exec Club. I have successfully used that redemption chart last year to SYD ( saved me 80k points, but had to call multiple times because the Exec Club agents did not know how to use the chart or didn’t even know it existed!,), but this time around I want to fully maximize that chart and go for the 50k miles flown for 320k BA point in J
I looked through the BA website to know what were the limitations other than the miles flown, but couldn’t find anything. Is there a limit on the number of segments I can fly? Can is transit more than once through the same airport? Can I Open Jaw?
Here is the itinerary so far: jfk-hkg-bne-akl-syd-mel-sin-hkg-cpt-jnb-doh-znz, open jaw, Dar-doh-nrt-jfk. Total miles flown = 49,852.
Can anyone see an issue with that routing? If so, can your direct me to a page that has all the info?
Also, I saw a guy from TPG who was able to add segments in F without changing the amounts of points used. Any info on that?
Thanks.

Wow, I’m envious. Quite an itinerary. First, I assume you are talking not about tis chart: https://onemileatatime.com/british-airways-partner-award-chart/
But instead BA’s multiple carrier award chart: https://thepointsguy.com/guide/when-to-use-british-airways-multi-partner-award-chart/
I am not sure about BA’s rules, but I think you need to consider TPG’s advice before getting your heart set on any particular itinerary:
”The most complicated part of the process is finding availability for all the separate flights, that then marry up in a neat ticket with dates within the desired range of each other.” Just because it is “legal” under the rules doesn’t mean there will be open seats.
