Award space on multiple carriers

Award space on multiple carriers

Sorry if this has been answered; I can’t find it anywhere: We need 2 award tix on, say, a particular flight onSWISS. If there’s 1 C class award space open on Aeroplan, and 1 on Avianca, are they the SAME single space, or is each carrier allotted separate ones, so it would actually be 2 that would be available? Thanks.
