I am scheduled on an American flight that was recently changed. Current routing is STL-PDX-LAX-ANC. All the flights were changed slightly but the biggest change is the first flight. The departure time changed by 40 minutes. I called and asked to change to a different flight but the rep said I couldn’t change unless the flight times changed by more than an hour. I didn’t think that was right but didn’t challenge her on it. I would now like to change to a more direct routing like STL-LAX-ANC. Is this a case of hang up and call again or am I stuck with the original routing?
