Lucky,

Traveling to Milan and Paris in September via Emirates through jfk. I have close to 100k star points from SPG. My wife and I wanted to travel business class, currently we have economy tickets. Anyway we can use my SPG points to upgrade to business class? Or should I use the points for hotels in Paris?

Also recently I acquired the Hyatt chase card which gives me 2free nights. I was thinking about having my get it as well so we can use her 2 free nights in one of the hotels.

Your thoughts?

@ Ahmed — If she can get another two free nights then that sounds like a great option. As far as upgrades go, the only option would be to transfer to Emirates Skywards for the upgrade, assuming you’re in a fare class eligible for upgrades. I’d say you’re probably better off using the points for hotels.
