What is the cash value of 44,000 points/miles?

It depends on how you value your miles.

Lucky values AAdvantage miles at 1.5 cents per mile, so 44k is $660. However, if you were to buy 44k AAdvantage miles from American, it’ll cost you $1425, after taxes and fees and without any kind of bonus since there are none at the moment.

Then, in terms of redemptions, you can redeem for a oneway ticket to Hawaii or South America Region 1 in business class, instead of paying cash. Value will then depend on what the cost of the cash ticket was.
