In 2022, we saw Qatar Airways initially team up with Diptyque for its amenity kits, which was pretty cool. This collaboration has been live for a few years now, and there’s an exciting update, as these amenity kits are getting an overhaul.
In this post:
Qatar Airways Diptyque amenity kits get new design
It’s common for airlines to collaborate with luxury brands for amenity kits, since it’s often a win-win — airlines can offer something nice to their premium passengers, while luxury brands can get samples of their products out in front of people who spend a lot of money on airline tickets (generally a pretty affluent crowd).
Over time we often see airlines switch up their amenity kits, either because they’re trying to elevate the experience, or because the contract with a particular company only runs for so long. In the case of Qatar Airways, the partnership with French fragrance brand Diptyque seems to be going well, as it has been “live” for nearly four years, and it’s now entering its next chapter.
The airline has just shown off its new Diptyque amenity kits, offering all kinds of different design options. I’ve gotta say, the kits look beautiful, and I imagine many people will choose to keep these, and actually use them for something at home.

What’s inside the Qatar Airways Diptyque amenity kits?
I don’t believe the contents of the Qatar Airways amenity kits have actually changed, as that’s not mentioned one way or another. If that’s the case, you can expect the kits to continue to feature the following:
- Nourishing lip balm, enriched with roses and violets
- Fresh lotion for the body, infused with the scent of orange blossoms
- Essential face cream, with prickly pear extract
- Diptyque fragrance, including ‘Eau Rose’ Eau de Toilette (an infusion of damascena and centifolia roses), and ‘34 Boulevard Saint Germain’ Eau de Toilette (with notes of amber, patchouli, cinnamon and rose)

Qatar Airways is the only airline in the world to have Diptyque amenity kits. The partnership between the two brands started back in 2021, when the airline introduced Diptyque hand wash in both lounges and onboard in premium cabins.

Bottom line
There’s not an airline in the world that’s as committed to the little details of the premium travel experience as Qatar Airways. Whether it’s dine on demand, an amazing selection of coffee and alcohol, pajamas, or amenity kits, the airline does a great job with this kind of stuff.
Diptyque is a phenomenal luxury brand, and it’s nice to see Qatar Airways continuing its partnership with the brand, and rolling out refreshed amenity kits.
What do you make of Qatar Airways’ updated amenity kits?
A bag full of junk. Some unscented moisturizer and I'm good. Who wants to smell all thst stuff on a long flight?
I love the Qatar kits and for those who don’t like the scent, fair enough; don’t use the products. I hated the scent of the particular l’Occitane products Asiana used to give out so I either left them on board or gave them to people I thought would like them.
I detest the scents Qatar uses. Its been a decade with that same overpowering smell. Please, god, switch to something more subtle.
The Qatar scents are horribly overpowering! They give me a migraine every time I fly, really need to take into considerations many folks are physically sensitive to overwhelming scents like their signature scent
The organ grinders monkey admits to have no sense of smell or memory recall either. Could that be due to too much nut-stuffing behind one’s organ?
The Diptyque scent they insist on pumping through the cabin makes this airline utterly unflyable. Why would anyone subject themselves to such misery?
I may be overly sensitive to fragrances but the diptyque one is as penetrating as it is unpleasant.
To each their own. Never noticed anything that 'oppressive'... *cough* in the air, at least.
What routes and dates are these being introduced?
Those amenity kits look cool. Much better than the very average black pouches we’re getting now. Surprisingly upgrade for me as QR seemed to act more const conscious lately - e.g. no more Läderach chocolates just to name one thing.
A decade or so ago, QR, supplied one of the best amenities kits available to First Class customers. Like many others, they subsequently reduced the quality and number of items supplied.
It is refreshing to read that they appear to be on an upward trajectory once again. The U.S. airlines who aspire to improve their status should take note.
Nostalgia is one helluva drug, isn't it?
In wonder how they'll allocate the different designs. I think they look quite nice and hopefully they look/feel good in person.
The contents sounds similar to the current ones, though there is no note of earplugs, eye masks or compression socks.
While I rarely ever use the socks, the eye mask and ear plugs are super useful and hopefully this is a mistake omission rather than an indication that they've been removed.
Finally, a proper premium, no the pulse brand from one of these carriers...
