Korean Air has just unveiled their latest safety video, starring K-Pop group SuperM. This video was produced in partnership with SM Entertainment, the largest entertainment company in Korea.
We’ve seen a trend whereby airlines have been putting a lot more effort into their safety videos. They’ve gone from making them just informational, to also making them amusing, in hopes of using them as a marketing technique and also making people pay attention.
Korean Air describes the new safety video as “unconventional, innovative, and entertaining.”
SM Entertainment songwriter Kenzie has created a song called “Let’s Go Everywhere,” which was turned into this K-Pop music safety video. The video features hip-hop, R&B, electronic, deep house, and synth pop.
Here’s the new safety video (personally I love the dancing pink bear):

Korean Air’s old safety video was quite boring and outdated, so this is certainly a fresher take on a safety video. Some might say it’s a bit much, though.
