10% Cash Back At All IHG Brands (In Addition To Normal Points)

In the interest of full disclosure, One Mile At A Time earns a referral bonus for purchases made through some of the below links. These are products and services we use ourselves, and are the best offers we know of. Check out our Advertising Policy for further details. Thanks for your support!

Shopping portals can be a great way to earn cash back for purchases you’d make anyway. While shopping portals offer bonuses for all kinds of retailers, sometimes they even offer bonuses for airlines and hotels.

We’re seeing shopping portals offering an increased number of bonuses for hotel stays, and now we’re seeing yet another one.

At the moment you can get 10% cash back for stays at all IHG brands booked through Ebates (this includes InterContinental, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Crowne Plaza, Hotel Indigo, etc.).

Ebates simply redirects you to IHG’s website, so you’d be eligible to earn points and receive elite benefits as usual. The cash back for eligible stays should post to your Ebates account within six weeks of your stay. Obviously, if you cancel any bookings you wouldn’t receive the reward.

The terms state that specially negotiated rates (such as IHG friends & family), are not eligible for this offer.

If you’re not yet an Ebates member, you can receive an extra $10 after you make your first eligible purchase by signing up (and I’ll receive a payout as well after your successful first purchase).

I’m not sure how long this promotion is available (generally these are just for one day), so you’ll want to book ASAP if you have any bookings to make. You can always make refundable bookings now and then cancel them later. As a point of comparison, the payout before this was just 4%.

We last saw this promotion a week ago.

Happy booking!

  1. “Note that this specifically applies to InterContinental hotels…”

Actually, that is incorrect. Ebates is offering 12% on all IHG properties.

  2. Sounds like a deal for cheapskates. Why bother with posting these things on a blog for first class and 5 star hotel travelers?

  3. Jackie – because using a cash back site costs you nothing and only adds a couple of seconds to the booking process. And who doesn’t want a rebate / free money? ( well other than you). No one is forcing you to book via a cash back site if you dont want to.

I see posts like this as part and parcel of this site. A post the other week got me a £ 750 business class fare from London to a Boston – a deal I wouldn’t have known about otherwise. The savings mean I can do a long weekend somewhere else that I wouldn’t otherwise be able to do. I don’t think taking up an offer makes me a cheapskate just someone after a good deal.

And of course you don’t have to read any of Bens posts if yiu don’t like the title / brief description..

  4. @Jackie

The wealthiest person I know drives a Hyundai Santa Fe, often flies Southwest and occasionally grabs a burger at In-N-Out. Gordon Getty parked a Toyota in the garage of his Pacific Heights mansion.

Why is a “first class” (hahaha) five-star (lol) woman like yourself reading a points-maximizing travel blog?

It’s easy to spot the kind of person who owns a set of Chinese-made Kylie Jenner makeup brushes. #trash

  5. I recently started using topcashback and already have $175 posted as ‘pending’ from 2 recent stays. I received full benefits and points and promotional points. So now just waiting for it to actually clear and be transferable and then I’ll trust it haha.

  6. I love ebates, over $1,000 back. I just rebooked two trips and scored an extra $150… Jackie, read the book a Millionaire next door….. Perhaps being frugal is how I retired from my day job at age 55…..

  7. @jackie i’m not cheap but if i am in the process of booking stays anyway for a trip i am taking at expensive properties you can damn well bet i want to know about a 10% discount. Thanks for the headsup on this Lucky!

  8. does this apply to Hilton Honors too? Would I get my points and perks if I went through a cashback site? Thanks
