World of Hyatt hasn’t offered a global promotion since the spring of 2025, and instead, has just been offering promotions targeted at specific brands, regions, etc. Along those lines, World of Hyatt has just introduced its latest such offer, intended to incentive select stays…
In this post:
Hyatt offering bonus points in Europe, Africa, Middle East
Thanks to a new promotion, World of Hyatt members can earn double points at properties in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. There are some terms to be aware of:
- You must register between September 2 and November 1, 2025, and prior to completion of your first stay
- You must stay between September 15 and December 1, 2025
- There are no brand restrictions, as long as you’re staying at an eligible World of Hyatt property (including Mr & Mrs Smith hotels)
- You can earn up to 20,000 bonus points with this promotion (equivalent to $4,000 in eligible spending)
- It can take two to three weeks after check-out for bonus points to post to your account

This promotion essentially offers 5x World of Hyatt bonus points per dollar spent. Based on my valuation of 1.5 cents per World of Hyatt point, that’s like an incremental return of 7.5% on eligible stays.
As a reminder, World of Hyatt members ordinarily earn 5x World of Hyatt points per dollar spent, and beyond that:
- Elite members receive further bonuses — Discoverists earn an extra 0.5x points per dollar spent, Explorists earn an extra 1.0x points per dollar spent, and Globalists earn an extra 1.5x points per dollar spent
- If you pay for a qualifying stay with the World of Hyatt Credit Card (review) or World of Hyatt Business Credit Card (review) you earn an extra 4x points per dollar spent
So a Globalist member paying with an eligible card could be earning 15.5x World of Hyatt points per dollar spent, which is a solid return.

Is Hyatt not going to offer a global promotion?
World of Hyatt’s last global promotion ended in late March 2025. Since then, we haven’t seen the program offer a promotion valid at all properties.
The fact that Hyatt is now offering double points in several regions through early November suggests to me that we aren’t going to see a global promotion this fall. After all, Hyatt probably wouldn’t offer this promotion if it intended to have another global offer.
This does seem to represent a new strategy that was implemented last year. Through 2023, Hyatt generally offered two global promotions per year, with one in the spring and one in the fall. But last year we saw Hyatt only offer one global promotion in the spring, and now we’ll probably also see that this year.
I suspect Hyatt just doesn’t see the ROI on offering more than one global promotion per year, and thinks there’s more value in promotions that are specific to certain brands or regions, based on travel demand. That’s a bummer, but I also can’t say that I’m surprised.
Bottom line
World of Hyatt has launched a new regional promotion, offering double points for stays in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. This has the potential to be a pretty lucrative offer, though it suggests to me that we won’t see a global promotion from the program. That’s disappointing, but also not surprising.
What do you make of World of Hyatt’s new double points promotions?
Hyatt also gave out a new round of targeted offers, and the chance is seemingly way higher than before (which is like 10% in 2022 and 2023 according to some website's polling)
I got 2K per night, max 10N for 20K points, which I'm fine forgoing Q4.
No Asia? c’mon!
I saw "Hyatt promotion" and perked up....only to see my trips to Asia aren't going to qualify.....sigh....
Just as I am wrapping up my European travel after two months. I could have made a killing if this was offered before.
as AA EXP, but only Hyatt 'Explorist', I got a status match offer to 'Globalist' for 20 nights in 9 days from what I read.
'Globalist' status would be good until Feb 2027!!!
Would love to see a double elite nights credit type offer. Would help getting higher status.
