A passenger traveling in United Airlines Polaris business class claims he boarded a long haul flight, only to find a blanket covered in feces at his seat. The crew had nowhere to move him to, so he was forced to stay in that seat for the entire flight only to later discover that the pillow was covered in feces as well. What exactly is going on here?!

The story sounds completely false. I find funny how the emphasis is placed in feces but not a single mention of the smell that would accompany it. This sounds like a typical one asking for attention, compensation, or both.

Dried feces is not very smelly because the indols (the smelly part) evaporated. Skatols are another smelly chemical in poop. My spelling may be off.

Yup. I once had an evil kitty who would drop a log in NY bathroom shower if he was dissatisfied with things. By the time I returned home from work the smell had dissapated because the poo dried out... but the next morning when I went to. take a shower it'd all come back!

Cabins in US airlines are generally filthy and disgusting but this is on a whole new level by Poonited. Not really surprised that someone probably defecated in their seat considering how inebriated Americans get when they drink given their generally weak tolerance.

LOL! I’ve seen how Americans love free stuff and can’t control themselves when given free food and alcohol.

@E39 Haha that is what you get for flying on a Star Alliance airline instead of a Sky Team airline.

Most certainly an attention Whore. This story happened to comedian Nicole Byer on Delta.

And as Ben wondered why it took 2 months to make this public, he has a point. Nicole reported tweeted / reported it as soon as she landed.

Here's the vid.

Another opportunity for Tim Dunn to literally talk sh*t about UA.

Someone here is really his guardian angel.

For once, wish the story didn’t have photos… then again, you know what they say, the proof is in the pudding, sorry, the pudding is on the blanket, I mean, yikes…

What a crappy situation! Maybe these are the old towels from the well documented passenger smearing feces on the United galley cart incident?

The music accompanying the video photos is beautiful. It makes one want to curl up with some nice feces blankets and pillows.

It's beyond me why anyone would ever choose UA, AA, or DL for long-haul travel in *any* cabin when almost ALL their routes are served by other, high-quality, non-US-based carriers. Even Air Koryo has got to be better than this. And no, this would NOT happen on Singapore, Air France, Emirates, etc.

Not true, it can happen to any airline.

I call BS on this story. No pun intended.

Just way too many inconsistencies.

If we're being honest, the photos he posted look like someone touched the blanket with their chocolatey fingers, and this guy saw that as an opportunity to make the claim that it's feces.

I had a similar experience some years ago on a long haul international flight. Upon unsealing and unfolding my blanket, I discovered what was quite obviously dried vomit stuck to the fabric. Don't recall which airline, but the flight attendant quickly found me a clean blanket and apologized profusely. I've been closely examining airline bedding ever since.

It must have been after my flight. I was flying on Singapore Airlines (first time on Singapore Airlines business) with my son, and he has an allergy to nuts. We were on business class, and after the dinner meal, the flight attendant accidentally gave him ice cream that had nuts in it, and he vomited all over his seat.
