Ride sharing service Via is piloting a program to offer $15 one-way rides from LaGuardia Airport to Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan. In addition, rides to Staten Island and the Bronx are $20. Via (I honestly am not sure whether they want you to pronounce it vee-uh or vie-uh -- and I wonder about it often)…

This seems like a great way to get to the city as Uber/Lyft are often much more than that for shared rides.

Here is an alternative to get from/to JFK/LGA cheaper than subway for 2 or more people. You can rent from AVIS 1 way rentals. The secret is to put in rental time of 4 hours or less and you will see rates in $10.00 - $25.00 including taxes. You can drop off or pick up at all the locations in Manhattan. I have done this several times. Doing it tomorrow for $15.72 a and then on Monday for $12.00. Very convenient when you have a lot of luggage.
