Silly fun fact (which I am sure some people here will hate - my apologies for that) Madonna, while being interviewed by Ellen, revealed Krug rose to be her favourite. So of course I had to try it ($499 AUD here in Sydney a few years back which is insane but such is life). It was lovely, but a little bit sweet for my liking, however a glass or two for a celebration like Christmas is perfect. Glad to see SQ splurging a bit on the wine cellar budget!
Recently surprised to enjoy Dom Perignon Lady Gaga in The Chelsea Lounge NY. More amazed than surprised actually!
It's hard to taste the subtleties that separate good from great champagnes at 30,000 feet so most of this is simply label chasing. I get that it's fun to taste a label you otherwise wouldn't buy on a flight but from the perspective of really getting value or enjoyment out of a vintage champagne this ain't it.
Hey you like what you like. Just don't get suckered into paying (a lot) more for champagne that you're not sure actually tastes better than the base level labels.

krug and charles hedsik are my favs don't sleep on that mil de millionaires i go back and forth which I like more.
ANA removed vintage '04 Krug from their latest menu so maybe it went to SQ lol.
Ditto ... Ditto ... For that matter maybe a bargain basement vintage is simply decanted in the eponymously liveried bottles ! ... Or maybe I'm just insanely jealous of the lifestyles of the Rich n' Famous and/or mileage bloggers ! ... Although in full transparency as a former airline employee I'll admit to being spoiled by pass travel perks..... but nowadays they're virtually useless...Nonetheless grateful I took advantage of them when they were worthwhile ...
If having 3 champagnes, it makes sense to have a variety of styles, for the variety of customer preferences.
So odd to have two that are Blanc de Blancs.
I would replace one with a Blanc de Noirs or a Rose (but definitely keep the Krug!)
Depends on which label of Krug (and vintages for that matter). Krug’s Clos d’Ambonnay or du Mesnil can absolutely stand toe to toe with Salon and even surpass it in many vintages. Even “regular” vintage Krug in a year like 96, 02, 08 would be preferable to something like an 07 or 13 Salon. And that’s all on the ground… at altitude, I would lean pretty heavily toward Krug’s style.
