Singapore Airlines' Impressive Business Class Champagne

Korean Air serves Piper Rare 2007/Charles Heidsieck millesime in certain routes

Piper 2018 is too young. Needs a few more years to develop. The 2008 and 2012 would be going decently though.

The thing with their usual Charles Heidsieck is it's built a lot like Krug and with solera reserve wines so it's more well rounded tbh especially for in air consumption.

Book the cook and the lobster thermidor gets SQ a lot of love, deservedly so. But my last two flights with Qatar have featured a lobster just as good as SQs and caviar to boot.

SQ might be great in Business, but I recently had two flights with them in Economy and felt treated like a 2nd class citizen. On the 5h flight to Perth I only saw one round of drinks (with the meal) and they were almost reluctant to give water in the aft-galley. Worse than most UA flights I took. F/As always looked busy but were doing basically nothing.
With their bad elite recognition in Economy I will not pay any premium to fly them again, even if this was just a bad flight. Silverkris Lounge in BKK was great though.

This isn’t new. They’ve been serving this for ages. They were serving this in July.

I love good wine. The bubbly stuff does nothing for me. I'd prefer them to spend big dollars on things I want more.

Not a bad drop, but for the fares airlines charge in biz they should all be doing much better with the wine selections. The fares are often only a little less than first class, and the soft product should reflect that.

I will always fly 1st class now so that I can have great champagne!!! Makes paying $4000 for a glass of champagne well worth it.

It might be but Qatar is less reliable as often changes aircrafts and usually there are 2 flights for 7-8 hrs each. SQ often offers direct flight or stopover in Europe which gives 1 very long flight so much easier to sleep/rest.
