During my Four Seasons Yacht via Turkmenistan and Saudi Arabia adventure, I had a layover of a few hours at Ashgabat Airport (ASB), in Turkmenistan. I was arriving in Turkmenistan Airlines’ 777 business class from Frankfurt (FRA), and was connecting to Turkmenistan Airlines’ 737 business class to Delhi (DEL).

Just a data point in reference to access to business pax on other carriers (of course this may not be accurate given the time that has elapsed) but in September of 2023 I was flying out of ASB on Turkish in business and was denied entry.
One mildly amusing piece was that when I got to the lounge, it was unstaffed and completely empty... so I explored a bit, found one refrigerator that was unlocked, took a beverage and sat down. Maybe five minutes later, a woman appeared, checked my boarding pass, and said TK pax weren't allowed access so of course I left. About ten minutes later, far from the lounge, the same lady chased me down, demanding payment for the beverage (about $2). LOL
Not bad at all.
