But will this be the same with Virgin Australia and can you redeem these points on VA?
It’s always good to see innovation or something new but in this case I’m not sure why they’re doing it in the middle of a pandemic when most people aren’t able to enter the country without a 14 day self-isolation/quarantine requirement.
They could have waited until after the borders have reopened or at least allowed a negative PCR COVID-19 test to avoid quarantine.
Is the fact that the points program is now owned by "Virgin Red Limited" a positive in the event that Virgin Atlantic shuts down? I assume this means it can now more easily be sold off as a separate asset so that people don't lose their points?
As long as ANA remains a redemption partner, then I am happy!!! I can't wait to try out their new first class product next year!!!
