POTUS cannot decertify aircraft by social media post. That's not how laws work.
Aircraft certification is controlled by the FAA under federal statute. It requires formal rulemaking, technical standards, safety justification, and compliance with bilateral aviation agreements. You can't revoke certifications because you're cross with Canada about Gulfstreams.
This is either an empty threat (TACO!) or constitutional illiteracy dressed up as dealmaking. The FAA hasn't grounded these planes. Airlines are still flying them. Nothing has changed except the number of unserious proclamations cluttering Lie Social.
Canada has NOT certified the newer G600, G700, or G800. While inefficient compared to the US and Europe, this is not illegal. Also, G700 only recently received FAA certification (it was delayed repeatedly from an original 2022 target), and the G800 received U.S. certification in May 2025. Countries often certify aircraft on different timelines.

As a person that’s been in aviation for 29 years believe me those planes will fly just like they did yesterday or five years ago. Because to cut a bunch of regional airlines and to layoff thousands upon thousands of aviation professionals will never happen it would be the complete bottom amount of his presidency. Don't be so mean to the CRJ200. I have spent more time in the exit row window seat of a CRJ200 than any other seat on any other aircraft. Wonderfully cold in the winter with a whole extra inch of legroom vs. normal seats. Terminal C at CVG and terminal F at PHL were my second homes for all my CRJ connections.

If I was Canada, I woud take my time to certify as well. But I still think that he can turn it around with medical treatment and finally live a happier proper successful life. Air Canada and WestJet are 787 Dreamliner customers too. Air Canada flies both the 787-8 and 787-9. They also have the 787-10 on order. WestJet flies the 787-9.

It's widely acknowledged (including by Transport Canada today) that they have not certified G500/600/700/800. These are being slowed even though EASA and FAA have certified them for a while. All other aircraft did not face the same scrutiny. One of those cases where "I can't prove it, but you're just protecting Bombardier, aren't you?").
I have dual citizenship - American and Canadian, but more importantly I have personal experience with imbecilic bureaucratic Canadian authorities. Many years ago when I lived in Canada a colleague and I applied for and received exclusive national distribution rights for a globally car brand - Lotus. It was certified for sale in all 50 US states and in numerous countries around the world including England where it was produced. We hired the lawyer who was the gold standard in helping auto manufacturers get Canadian certification. After numerous attempts we were told that we would have to make several very expensive and impossible changes that none one single other country required - including the United States. Anyone owning a Lotus Elyse could drive across the border and around anywhere in Canada but we cold not sell the cars here. Effectively the Canadian government prevented the establishment of a business that would employ numerous Canadians in warehousing, distribution, sales and service. It was then that I said enough and moved to the USA. I am not claiming that things are perfect here but certainly not as anti-business as they are in Canada.
Good paying jobs for American Citizens and authorized resident people displaying loyalty and allegiance to our American heritage as well as our Jude-Christian none sharia sympathetic American laws is the way to go. Everyone bye bye.
