If you do give Taag another try and are down the southern end of Africa, you really need try to fly Airlink. It puts many European airlines to shame and nothing quite feels like coming home than hearing "Airlink, the freedom of the African sky." Or give Cem Air a go if Taag wasn't quite enough fun!

Agree, a review of Airllink would be appreciated. SAA is only offering a very limited network, today and BA's franchise has not survived the pandemic at all. Meanwhile Airlink has developed from a subcontractor of SAA for some regional services to a full service airline on its own.

Nope, not anymore. Visited twice this year, and not asked for anything at all when exiting, just stamped and left (mind you I have an African passport, maybe different for Europeans)
