I would assume they evaluated the data and saw that most hard landings were performed by the FO, that should be easy to do.
You know, when I saw your comment on the article page, I immediately clicked into the comments to see what utter porcine laundering Timbits posted and was disappointed to find none. Not even a "You wouldn't find this on Aeroflot since they're SkyTeam and S7 is oneworld."

I’ve had FOs make some bad landings, and I’ve had some, neither broke anything. I think the issue is S7 can’t get parts to repair the aircraft due to sanctions. So don’t abuse the equipment because we can’t fix anything.
