They’re RAM-ming Starlink down our… Each announcement like this, I can’t help but think of the Musk/Bezos proxy-war with Delta as the battleground. That said, all carriers should have reliable WiFi included for all passengers. If there’s only one provider that can do it…
I’d say RAM is expanding with secondhand aircraft, specifically the six 737 MAXes that were taken over from Qatar Airways’ fleet of nine, with the other three being permanently stored. Though I’m not sure how that adds up to 41 aircraft!
Why does everyone keep celebrating all these airlines' "free" Starlink?
It's free until Elon has another bad drug trip and decides to shut them down on mood or an hallucination telling him to do so, or to start charging the airlines some ungodly sum to use the "free" service once they're all locked in.
And before anyone says "the board won't let him do that!" his boards are no better than potted plants.
Ram does currently offer wifi. It's definitely available on some of their 789s. It's even free for business class customers, and surprisingly works fairly well. Starlink will of course be better.
