For the next portion ofmy two times to Latin America trip,it was time to fly Delta’s A350 business class from Santiago to Atlanta. Prior to that flight, I was able to check out the LATAM Lounge Santiago (separately, I reviewed the SkyTeam Lounge Santiago).

The lounge also has fantastic, large storage lockers that will allow you to leave your bags and hop into the city if you have a longer layover.

Not sure you can clear immigration once you clear security.

This lounge ranks in the top five I've visited.

When I was there back in March, the hot bar included beef. It wasn't the best beef that I've had in southern South American but it was darn good. I don't remember which Champagne they offered but it was very drinkable.

Hey Lucky, love your blog and longtime reader.

Any thoughts on possibly flying the nearly-antarctic route of SCL-SYD-JNB?

Also, it would be awesome to see an updated count at the bottom of the page of miles traveled, words written and posts published. The numbers seem to have been static for a long time.

Cheers!

On my upcoming trip, I have ~4 hr layover at SCL before my domestic flight, which lounge would be the best option? I’d really like to take shower before the domestic flight.

My husband and I enjoyed the Signature lounge a year ago and yes, one of the nicest lounge experiences ever. And the staff were so pleasant and welcoming. Going back in a couple months, hope some of the same staff are there !

If you are connecting from an international flight to a domestic flight you won’t get access. Once you enter the country you have to change terminals. You can only access LATAM lounges when taking international flights. Don’t expect much from domestic lounges.

I agree. I was there in July with my family and did 0 research before our flight back home to the U.S. Maybe it was because I went in with no expectations, but I was very pleased. Clean, lots of space, good food options, showers, kids area, charging everywhere, wifi that works.... they really covered all the bases.

Noel Philips just posted a video of his brief time here. Came to this post as soon as I saw the video

Question- How long before my business class flight can I check into the lounge?

@ Steven Spindler -- As long as it's the same day, you can go any time. There's not some limit of only being able to use the lounge X number of hours before departure.

Awesome post! Can the lounge be accessed by incoming international passengers? Elderly sister arrives (Delta Comfort) 8 hours prior to our flight. Looking for options for her wait.
