Porter is the best North American airline for regional flights. Love flying with them.
But Porter has, for many years, charged for checked bags and seat assignments.
I am not entirely sure what the difference is here, other than fewer points in their VIPorter program....
No free carry-on (really gate-check allowance). In my experience that's what most passengers bring with Porter. Only the tiny "personal item" is permitted with basic fares.
Given how short Porter's routes are, these fares will likely appeal to commuters who work
in another city one day a week or who fly home for the weekend.
