Northern Pacific Airways has seemingly closed reservations for its only route, between Ontario and Las Vegas. While I wouldn’t assume the airline is going out of business, I am curious what’s next…

"What's your value proposition to consumers, Northern Pacific?"

"Well, we fly 3x per week between two cities that are only a 3-hour drive apart, on a route that has long been served by Southwest Airlines."

How could it possibly fail so quickly?

I fear they are joining an airline alliance with Red Way Airlines of Lincoln, Nebraska.

The best for them might be to wet-lease their aircraft. I wonder if El Al is open to what they did with North American Airlines many years ago?

Their "Crew Scheduler - Crew Controller" position posting seems to be copied and pasted from Ravn. Unless it really is working for Ravn just on behalf of Northern Pacific?

You have to be breaking a lot of laws to do ONT-LAS in 3 hours.

Google shows it as a 3 hour 20 minute drive right now. Going even 7-8 mph above the speed limit would get you under 3 hours.

I think they operate as the carrier for some other resellers, I remember seeing something about Surf Air?

I guess you don't live in the region? 3 hours is absurdly optimistic. Google is based in the Bay Area, not Los Angeles!! Do yourself a favor and don't rely on Google for traffic advice!

They just posted to social media that their September schedule is now posted and selling (as of about 40 minutes ago).

Load factor is 0% for ONT-LAS tomorrow (based on booking seat map).

Los Angeles? Ontario to Vegas doesn’t even pass through Los Angeles. I’m guessing you don’t understand how those traffic estimates are calculated, right? But someone who thinks it matters what city a company has their HQ in wouldnt likely be privy to that. Or did you think the trip was LAX to Vegas? 3 hours 12 minutes right now from ONT airport to LAS airport per Waze.

Is the airline still involved in a lawsuit with Burlington Northern?

True, but driving at least 85 to 90 mph seems to be pretty much mandatory on I-15.

I flew it couple weeks ago and had no complaint at all. I just hate that I-15 drive so much and anything that would help I would do it, especially for only $45.

It is the same company. Crew schedulers are scheduling for both NPA and Ravn flights.
