Malaysia Airlines really is going all-in on the Boeing 737 MAX, and there’s an interesting twist here, in terms of the aircraft variants and passenger experience.

Are Boeing doing a special deal on the Max …. Buy one, get one free?
One is surprised that any airline is willing to risk such a punt on this particular ‘dead donkey’.

You are talking about an airline that has experience loosing a plane full of people, withholding information during investigations, repeatedly changing their story and mistreating victims' families.

They probably need a spare.

If you're going to criticize, at least learn how to spell properly, you moronic imbecile. It's "losing" and not "loosing," you inbred, slack-jawed yokel.

It's either that, or wait until 2031 to get an A321, barring someone else's cancellation and slot reassignment.

So as much of a reputational piece of crap as the 737MAX is, many airlines see no choice, especially if Boeing is willing to play ball on acquisition price. It can do the job fully well, especially if they don't need the Airbus's extra capability.

Flew their Max 8 up front earlier this year and was pleasantly surprised.

Shame - one of the few Asians to order the oversized fans bolted onto a 1960s airframe. Looks like MA inherits my 737 MAX lifetime ban.

This is exciting. MH has had a completely uncompetitive regional business class for a while with their heavy usage of the 737-800s.

MH doesn't have the hub power that SQ or CX do to fill a bunch of widebodies like them, so the 737 MAX with flat beds is perfect.

Maybe this’ll help save jobs at Spirit Aerosystems in Subang…

My phone just loves to misspell words on a random basis. "Loosing" for some reason is preferred to "losing" and appears all the time even when spelled properly. I don't always catch the computer typos.
Your reply is a bit over the top, isn't it? Or do you know AeroB personally?

They could have bought some of Qatar's 9 unwanted 737 Max 8s.
