LATAM plans to introduce a premium economy product on part of its wide body fleet. It might seem like the airline is late to the game, but at least regionally, that’s not the case.

PE seats are getting a lot better.

I wonder if we'll reach a point where PE becomes the old style 2-3-2 or 2-4-2 layflat business class.

I could see that being very valuable for people purely focused on the sleep aspect and nothing else.

Maybe that explains why Latam is using the Spanish charter outfit WAMOS heavily to operate many of their fights in November.
I am booked SCL-LAX and have never been notified of the change in operating carrier.
My brother on the flight received an email from Latam regarding the change, and they rebooked him on Delta in one phone call.
I called and Latam says they can do nothing because it was booked through an online travel agency. Called the agency who says Latam will not allow a change despite numerous calls.
I have never been notified officially of the change, so I have filed a DOT complaint against Latam and the online agency.

I am furious I have to fly this sad sh*t of an airline on an 11 hour flight on an old A330 with 300+ seats.
Latam is a disgrace of a company.

Online travel agency ... oh no, it's the consequences of your very own actions.

Also, this isn't customer service.

LATAM is my preferred airline to board to Sao Paulo - the service is excellent compared to other airlines. The food, OMG - is the best. I usually buy legs space and it still works out a relaxing trip. I had the option of purchasing British Airways Premium Economy which cost the same as LATAM Economy with leg space, but I flatly turned it down. I welcome the PE initiative
