It's amazing that Chinese companies are coming up with with new ideas.

I know that 2 airlines can't operate the same route but, can 2 airlines operate to different airports in the same city i.e. Air China on PEK-LHR and Hainan on PEK-LGW?

Any idea when Alaska will have these flights loaded in their system? I can't seem to find anything.

Good timing for us as my partner is heading to CKG in April for a community field experience. Reward space is decent at the moment, but with undesirable connections.

I will wait to see if there are some promo prices before I book anything as it's hard to justify 100,000 miles plus taxes on a (potentially) sub-$1,500 flight

@Lucky, upon checking the accrual chart for Hainan Airlines on alaskaair.com, I found that only flight numbers ranging 0481–0499, 7000–7399, 7600–7999 can accrue miles. So am I correct in that those new flights would not credit towards Alaska?

It's not "China has a policy where only one Chinese airline can operate each longhaul route (unless a special exception is made)", but "China has a policy where only one Chinese airline can operate each US-SINO longhaul route (unless a special exception is made)."
I don't think you will stop making such mistakes any time soon, though....

Just like @HKG, I am curious as well. The two new flights as well as the previous LAX-Changsha one does not fall into the Alaska eligible number range (481-499). Did you get the miles on your Changsha trip or not?

Any update on the CTU flight numbers? The site still doesn't show it (it does show CSX, but that's already been confirmed posting EQM)
