I'm actually considering switching to focusing on Frontier, but a basic fact I've been unable to ascertain: does the companion travel apply to a bundle (including the blocked middle seat bundle) or only the base fare? Quite a different value proposition based on this question.

Just be aware of Frontier's on-time batting average relative to the airline you might otherwise use. Best of luck.

Frontier’s network is heavy Florida (like all American ULCCs), western cities and Atlanta. If those places work for you, it's probably worth it.

A suggestion for Frontier Miles Platinum and Diamond members, if you have a sense of adventure, please consider enrolling Plain Jane as your companion for at least one flight? I’m sure that the flight would be most entertaining to all of the other passengers and crew members. For suffering such an ordeal one should expect Frontier to extend your respective membership to a lifetime award.

Are those fees really starting at 5.60? If I remember correctly, they also charge a $20 "interface charge" or some other bullshit fee on every ticket.

A $1 "ticket price" + $40 in "fees + taxes" is quite common on cheap fares, so the companion wouldn't save much

Newly acquired Platinum status... So excited to book my companion travel! Yet there is no clear path to indicating my companion on the website or in the app in the process of purchasing airfare... Happy to share screenshots from Frontier customer service who informed me that miles or dollars will be "reversed" upon completion of travel. So the real world example is that I attempted to book companion travel tonight for a trip in April, one leg of the trip was 5,000 miles... I fly regularly, so these 5,000 miles designated for my "companion" are effectively locked until I complete that travel... Frontier Airlines show me that in the terms and conditions. I don't think it exists! Educate me?
