Also the BA MAX order seemed to make no positive impact, we might not hop on a MAX until 2020, imagine the winter holiday rush!

I would guess that they went to 737 due to backlog on Airbus. Now it's probably faster to get Airbus. In April they voiced concern to get discounts and Boeing rejected I guess.
@jackie ;Airbus has its US plant in Mobile,Alabama employing tons of American workers.
Besides, ordering Airbus aircrafts means less hassle for companies in terms of pilots training,reliability etc

Well, it’s mildly surprising. One would have expected a quid pro quo: “I’ll turn a blind eye to your murders and human rights violations, so long as you continue to buy our weapons and planes.” So far it seems it’s only working for the weapons.
The best thing Boeing has going for it is Airbus lacks the capacity to fill all of the orders that should be coming its way as a result of Max snafu. Yes, other airlines will cancel Max orders for the same "stated" reason as Flyadeal. Others will renegotiate their deals to get better terms. And Boeing is on the hook for Lord knows how much in damages to airlines that were supposed to be operating the Max. (AA should be thankful because it will make money from damage claims rather than loose money flying the plane.)
Boeing supporters are a die-hard bunch. The market also seems to be overly optimistic about Boeing. Time to short the stock?

Flyadeal prefers to buy planes, you know, you can use. Not sit on the ground for months while Boeing fixes many, many flaws. New flaws are being found faster than Boeing can fix the old ones.
@Jackie Indeed. The only way anyone is going to actually buy Boeing MAX DEATH planes now is if Trump forces them to.
