No. Those things take trained techs hours to repack. I imagine there’s also an inspection after deployment.

The president seems incapable of admitting that anything he does, or anything people around him do, is anything less than "perfect", "the greatest ever", "like no one has ever seen", or some other superlative. While his real or perceived enemies are always "the worst", etc. His refusal to cede any kind of middle ground or acknowledge any small human error feels pathological, especially at his ever-advancing age. I'm honestly surprised he hasn't blamed Biden for this.
On the aviation side, I've read recently that a plane can operate with an inop slide (but no more than 1, maybe 2 if the plane is big enough), so maybe they just removed the one that deployed and carried on with a note to fix it later.
