Another evidence of the fact that all these dictatorship countries branding themselves as democratic are attempting to make Trump and Musk look bad by attempting to cause accidents. Thank goodness Trump and Musk got to work straight away in fixing the DEI problems and appointing the best and right people to run the airports now, otherwise, this would've been bad. During its noon newscast on July 12, anchor Tori Campbell announced that "KTVU has just learned the names of the four pilots who were on board" the ill-fated plane - then proceeded to read from a teleprompter while the phony names were displayed on a graphic.
The names she gave were Capt. Sum Ting Wong, Wi Tu Lo, Ho Lee Fuk and Bang Ding Ow.
The BEST part about it and something that I didn't realize until a few years ago when it was pointed out to me is that the names actually tell the story of the crash in chronological order 😀
As blatantly racist (albeit funny as hell) as that news "story" was, it PERFECTLY illustrated the fact that the media nowadays will print/say ANYTHING without verifying just to be the first ones to get the story out there.
Someone misunderstanding "FR24" altitudes again. ADS-B only gives out pressure altitudes (i.e. what you see on a real altimeter when you set it to A2992 or Q1013). SFO was A3026 at 2 pm yesterday. That makes "275 ft" actually more like 575 ft.
But looking at everything else, it was indeed too low and too fast.

South Korea is a functioning democracy, as the entire world saw recently when the former president attempted a coup because the badly-behaved legislature wouldn’t rubber-stamp his political agenda. That was unconstitutional, and it cost him his job and his reputation. That’s a functioning democracy in action.

This to me, points out some serious deficiencies in Asiana's training and CRM.
This airline was embarrassed in front of the entire world, in so many ways, with that flight 214 crash: their pilots didn't do some of the most basic things, then you had the video-meme with the names, then you had people die.
This San Francisco approach, above all others, should've become SUCH a training item in the years since, that the new meme should've been:
"Never date an Asiana pilot, because they're going to call out SFO Tower's name during sex."
THAT'S how committed to mental and muscle memory, this run should've been for them by now. Yet, here we are.
I wouldn't call SK a democracy, rather, a corporatacracy. A handful of families run things and are above the law.
The irony here is that South Korea literally had a worse political shitshow than the US lol (and I hate President Musk)
