Las Vegas-based ultra low cost carrier Allegiant Air historically hasn’t had a loyalty program, at least not one that rewards flying. I suspect this is because the airline primarily targets price-sensitive leisure travelers looking to fly point-to-point.

As a somewhat frequent Allegiant traveler, this program looks great. They definitely tailored it for their customer base, which is smart.

Love love love the fact that the person purchasing gets the points.

Allegiant is more convenient for us at certain times (try flying to Florida from AVL on the legacies). And this will make the decision to forgo the EQD on AA a bit easier.

I don't fly Allegiant, but it is an excellent program...clear and easy to use. You know the value of your reward in dollars instead of some stupid amount of "miles" that have a mysterious value based on what the airline says they're worth.

And yes, I do not see any other airline that would offer a program like this. Airlines need complicated programs so they can manipulate the program enough to minimize any benefit of the program.

Hmm
I wonder about my flights I just purchased?

I like that you can redeem your points and zero then out each time.
