Unrelated but would like to know your thoughts on Ahmedabad if possible.
Honestly being of Indian origin, never flown AI, nor will I ever knowingly fly it.
It's a white elephant surviving on government subsidy, which otherwise would have been shutdown a long time ago.
Governments should not be in the business of running airlines.
It's Interesting, they are finally giving a bit of spotlight to their second hub (Mumbai) , As you might know Lucky almost 90% of AI's International flights especially the Long-haul flights to Europe , America & South East Asia depart from New Delhi .
AI also recently opened an earlier served route (BOM-FRA) with their 787 seems like they are finally paying attention to hubs other than the National Capital.
My family is from Long Island and refuses to fly from EWR. ($25 r/t in tolls) Cancelled their united credit cards when they left JFK.
Can definitely see a market for this.
Please make some coverage on Kenya Airways and Philippine Airlines inaugural nonstops to JFK. Both are history makers in themselves.
This definitely opens up award redemption option on United partner to BOM. UA EWR-BOM saver never available but AI is more frequently available.
Sort of a reduction considering they are canceling the EWR-LHR-AMD route starting next month
This flight would be longer than DEL-SFO then, based on great circle and block time. Don't know what type of restrictions 77W will have on the route, given BOM short runway.
