Its amazing to think how far aviation has come in just a bit over a century. 120+ years ago, the Wright Brothers set a record by flying 852 feet in just under a minute, and today we have double decker planes that can fly virtually anywhere in the world nonstop with some really awesome amenities.

EVA also has a Gudetama-themed a321. That lazy lil’ yolk gets me every time…

If you find the KE A380 bar sad now, why force it into a list of coolest amenities?

Editorially speaking, I don't think anyone would be upset if this was a list of 12 amenities. I and many would agree that it's not great anymore.

A gadget to make every plane leave on time would be wonderful.

External airbus cameras might belong on this list.

You mention singapores double bed but fail to mention China Easter’s first class double bed without the gap.

I mean British airways 2-4-2 seating is still the most innovative yet outdated J seats out there. They are the first to give semi direct aisle access… and awkwardly look at stranger next to you face to face during take off and landing.

Which aircraft do they have this on? As far as I can tell they only operate F on their 777s now, and the first class seats there don't have double beds

Nvm does look like the center two seats in MU 77W F can be combined into a double bed

Wouldn't you think that some day airlines might be built with minimal windows (I assume some would be needed fir safety reasons) with near all virtual windows?

I consider a Hello Kitty flight a bucket list item, the rest is just different shades of meh.

Personally I find EK 777’s Game Changer F Suite temperature control to be the most underrated feature of all. Given how many airlines have gotten rid of individual air nozzles and turning the cabin like sauna, being able to cool to the max while enjoying the thick blanket is out of this world.

If I recall ANA also has a Pikachu plane, which was fun, and the FAs have a large pikachu doll.

Bidets are the best of the lot here IMO, and ANA and JAL keep the lavs clean.

Instead of burbling on and on about removing the human from the cockpit; please give examples of: “The true behind the scene hero Autopilot”, and the number of lives which you claim it has saved?

Thomas, you claim that “China Easter’s first class double bed without the gap”.

One has tried to find a photograph online of your double bed. As I have failed, perhaps you can post a website link to support your claim, yes?

Happy Holidays to all my friends ….. 🙂

I would like to ask a couple of serious questions if you please? Ben or whomever:

No: 1. How effective are the Japan Airlines A350 headrest speakers?

No: 2. Is the American swivel seat as unreliable (often unserviceable) as Rumour Control reports?

Please be assured that these are not ‘wind up’ questions as I have a genuine interest in the subjects. Thank you.

Michael, many might find “Hello Kitty Flights” not to be on their bucket list. What makes these flights worthy of consideration?
As you do not appear to value any other items on Ben’s, list, what would be your alternatives?

ANA has had Pokémon-themed jets since the 90s on their 744Ds as well as domestic 777s.

JAL also had Disney-themed 744s that were really bright and colourful!

Might be worth it to mention that AA's First Class on 777-300ER will be phased out correct? Seem to recall that months ago.

Re: No. 1

Personally I preferred to use headphones. Reasons why:

1) In both F and J I did slightly hear some sound leakage from the neighbor across aisle, although not that annoying. That means it’s likely my seat could have done the same way.

2) Your head must be physically placed in between the headrests, so during meal it’ll be difficult sticking to one posture when you’re most likely to bend forward.

3) Makes no sense to use when the seat is in flat mode since the speakers are located right where pillow is supposed to be at.

It did feel nice being able to talk to crew while still playing the video, but overall it just didn’t seem to be too practical.
