IHG is also opening an InterContinental and Hotel Indigo on T&C in 2027! So definitely more points bookable choices are on the way.
"The Turks & Caicos points hotel scene is improving." As much as I love and value my miles and points, this is a bummer. A huge part of the appeal of T&C forever is that there weren't any highrises, it wasn't as built up, and it was quieter overall compared to other islands (i.e. Aruba). Obviously there are other great factors too, from the water/Grace Bay to how easy it is to get to and no long drives when you land. Unfortunately the government sold out several years ago - the Ritz is a massive eye sore and it's a travesty it was ever approved. The problem will only get worse. It's incredible how much development is going on down there, especially the number of villas and condos. It's still a special place, but it really is a shame.
Once again I see a new property charging too much for its new guests to be “training dummies.” I’ve stayed at several new resorts because of the new hotel shine and excitement of trying out, and every single time left disappointed from horrible service. Never again.
