While staying there, I asked about the cost at the reception of the Ritz Carlton Tysons Corner VA - one of the lower tier Ritz Carltons in the world - and they have a fixed upgrade cost of $250 during the week and $300 on the weekends. This is for two guests per room and can be added to any room at any rate.
Club lounges in Asia ex China may be considered the best. RC lounges in China generally suck
I stayed at the RC in Doha a few years ago booking a club room as it was relatively inexpensive. I did breakfast and lunch in the lounge daily. The meals were substantial and fine and of very good quality. At bfast, there was even a made to order egg station.
Ritz-Carlton Jakarta Pacific Place is an excellent all-club property. There are only 62 keys. Everyone has club access.

Random dates next week; RC Guangzhou with the base room starting at $273 but only an extra $52 for a club level room.
Ben mentioned about how the club rooms are amazing in Hong Kong but their base room starts at $637 and their club rooms cost an extra $212.
Ritz Carlton Tokyo room starts at $1,076 per night and with club level it is at $1384 for a night.
Ritz Carlton NY is $1284 for their entry level room and a club level room starts at $1880.
Ritz Carlton Doha base room starts at $221 but their club level room costs an extra $121 a night.
You want things less sucky you got to pay for it. For an extra $52 a night I will take it and appreciate it. A more relaxing atmosphere with elevated food and drinks at a much more reasonable upcharge.
Ritz also keeps guest profiles, so if you especially enjoy, say a beef dish and let the staff know, don’t be surprised if it shows up again at your next visit.. The aforementioned club on Amelia Island once packed us a small box of chocolate chip cookies on our day of departure. My other favorite thing? Even though Marriott has Pepsi products…the lounges have Coke products which they will bring you if you ask. (Some lounges will only serve them in glasses while others just bring you a bottle/can.)
@Judy Ritz or Ritz Carlton? There is a difference. Ritz Paris is not the same as Ritz Carlton Amelia Island.
When I want things less sucky, I just don't stay at a Marriott affiliated brand.
