Emirates is known for having one of the world’s best first class products, whether you want to shower in first class on the A380, or enjoy the fully enclosed suite on the 777.

They are the world's most popular First Class, whether people debate if it's the "best." They have quite a bit of market power to control the exclusivity of the product, IMO, and their First network is the most extensive by far.

Does Emirates even release first class award space to/from the US anymore? It seems zeroed out forever.

Doesn’t bother me at all nowadays for the same reasons you mentioned.

I still remember how excited you were when BA rebooked you on Emirates First back several years ago!

It's your audience but almost 300K miles for a round trip to Africa is way too steep for me. Maybe the big MS crowd would find it easier to swallow but I think that your illustrating this as a great value comes across as pretty disconnected from most people.

@Christian, while 285k isn’t a small change but check out one way trip from US to Europe one way on Delta on Business! Often times 285k is one way in J on Delta. 280k in first on Emirates is a steal as essentially you are getting four long haul segments on one of the best/ gaudy first class seat around!

Dang, will miss that 115,000 JAL points that I flew SIN-DXB-LAX with stopovers on. JAL transfers were the best use of Bonvoy points, in my opinion.

The A380 is also an enclosed suite.

Does anyone know if we can count on Emirates to honor business class awards booked thru Alaska before July 31, 2021? I have several business class award seats for travel to/from Dubai for next March and April. Given my age and size, being told to sit in coach at the last minute would be bad for my health given the duration of flights to/from the west coast.
