A very nice lounge, much better and cosier than the other LH lounges, which feel like waiting halls.
One surprising area, where the Panorama Lounge is different, is food. While AFAIK the Lufthansa Lounges don't serve pork dishes to cater cost efficiently to different religious dietary needs, the Panorama Lounge actually does. So in the Panorama Lounge it definitely makes sense to check the ingredients of the dishes.
What's funny is that this used to be a Lufthansa lounge back in the day, in fact it was their main lounge in the A gates area and as such it was always pretty crowded. It closed after the "A plus" pier extension opened and Lufthansa got a bunch of new lounges in there.
Looks like it was extensively renovated when it was converted to VIP services, and now Lufthansa has gotten it back much nicer than before!
I'd echo these comments - it is hands down my favourite lounge in Frankfurt, the only place (including the Senator lounges) where it is actually possible to get some peace and quiet and a comfortable sofa! I'm selfishly hoping that not many people read this post - it really felt like a hidden gem...

I'm more curious about the access parameters and perks of when it was an airport 'VIP' lounge. Did you get a whole room to yourself? What was the typical client - families traveling, German execs, celebs?
Yeah my favourite LH lounge also. Went in there early this year with no expectation and was really surprised by the amazing view (basically there is a wide-body plane driving by every 30 seconds), really really good food selection surprisingly (better than what I've had at other LH and OS business class lounges) and a quite high quality liquor selection for a business lounge. Also quite elegant toilets with marbled tiles etc.
So as much as I usually have to criticize about LH, this lounge is great
I agree. Was there several months ago and was surprised by the quiet and calm environment, good food and drinks. I was there in the morning so there was a mixed crowd; transfers and those originating.
I love the Panorama Lounge! While it's a business class (silver level) lounge, it beats the LH senator (gold level) lounges in FRA. Its off the beaten path location helps to keep the crowds down. Food/drinks are pretty much on par with senator lounges. The views are simply fantastic. The best though is the "living room feel" of the section left of the front desk. It may not be in the typical LH-branded style, and it may be a few years old. But it provides a much warmer and more personal experience, without compromising on service quality. Some, including LH lounge staff, commented they prefer the LH business lounge directly above the Panorama Lounge because it has a barista making your espresso or cappuccino on request - fair, but it's also much smaller and more crowded. So if the barista is not the reason you visit a lounge, you can't beat the Panorama Lounge.
