Duringmy recent trip to Germany with my parents, I had the chance to check out both the Lufthansa Business Lounge and Lufthansa Senator Lounge at Munich Airport. I visited first thing in the morning, due to an unscheduled overnight in Munich (where I stayed at the Hilton Munich Airport).

@Lucky, did you see LH A380s are getting new cabins?

More lounges should get frozen treats

Wow, this lounge looks incredible! Thank you so much for continuing to post so many reviews of Lufthansa products. My favorite airline!

What is the guest policy when visiting with an Amex platinum card? Could I pay to bring my travel companion with me?

We were in that exact lounge a couple months ago after our flight from Chicago. We got lucky and beat the rush, but it did get crowded after the morning flights across the pond started to land. By the time we left, there were people walking around trying to find seats. No sooner did we stand up to leave, someone was taking our spot. Perfectly fine for a small breakfast before your next flight since the breakfast LH serves before landing is an absolute joke.

Those barstools barely have a back to them like maybe 5 cm tall. Might as well not have them at all

You didn't mention that the coffee is virtually undrinkable and no creamer is provided, just skim milk. A good cup of coffee isn't a luxury and shame on Lufthansa for not being able to provide one.

I went there a month ago and it was exactly as described. I had a great experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to return.

We were there a couple of weeks ago and agree. The coffee was awful, made me feel worse rather than better after a transatlantic flight.

Your unscheduled stopover in Munich sure produced some nice reviews. Enjoyed the peek into his lounge. Thanks for an excellent report.

Nice review. World clocks in the lounge are showing the incorrect times.

Should've shown us the evening buffet options as well if you were there

I think it worths mentioning that if you come from a Schengen flight and are about to take an international long distance flight, it worths to shower here.
The instinct is to go to cross border control and shower in non-Schengen lounge, but there's only one shower room each in senator/biz lounge, and in rush hour you're almost certain unable to get one.

Star Alliance Gold members can bring a companion into the lounge who is on the same flight with them, not "flying on the same day".

My wife & I used this Lufthansa lounge in early June 2023. We were flying from MUC-EWR-BOS on United in Business and looked forward to hitting the lounge for breakfast before our 10 am flight. At 5am the notices started coming about a delay to our flight. Eventually, after 4 delays, it made it so we couldn't make our connection in EWR. I called United and they were very helpful booking us on the LH nonstop from MUC-BOS but in Coach after 3pm. We had time to kill. Luckily I have a United Club Card and was still able to get into the business lounge. It was chaos. Every seat was taken with tired people roaming around looking for seats. We finally snagged 2 bar stools way at the back. After about 2 hours the crowd left and we were able to get one of the more comfortable seats for the next 2 hours. I thought the food offerings were varied and delicious. I make a point of trying a little of most of the hot foods. The cappuccino from the machine was not horrible. We got to see the breakfast and the lunch selections. As we were getting ready to go to our gate the next wave of people had come in. We saw a couple with 2 young children circling so I told him we were about to leave. They grabbed our seats. Not as spacious as other lounges and not enough room to meet peak demand. I have never seen a business class lounge so crowded but I wouldn't avoid it if you need a place to hang out before your flight.

Writing this from Munich L terminal from a bar, because at 10am on a Friday the lounge comfortable chairs were all taken. Underwhelming food. Bar unattended. Sad little lounge.
