I'm spending the week with my family not flying for once, which I'm quite happy about. However, come the first of January I have some big international trips planned, which I'm looking forward to as well. However, it's nice not to be jetlagged for once. I hope everyone has an amazing holiday and is able…

@Lucky - seconding the sentiment of the reader above. I'm a daily reader but infrequent commenter and have to say how much I enjoy both the information and escapism your work provides. Best for 2018.

Just out of curiosity, will you be writing the review of Qatar Airways business class (The trip you took from the deal from Ho Chi Min City in October I believe)

Heres an idea..expand your blog by asking a couple of people based in UK/EU and Asia and Latam to blog on flights in their regions . Lots of people fly economy/coach for short trips .

@Lucky -

You may want to have a look at this story:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-42474716

I should note that there is one major inaccuracy in the attached link: Emirates banned ALL Tunisian women from flying to or transiting through DXB. Some sources say the ban was lifted and some others say it is still active, though it seems that's no longer relevant.

@opa I saw this guy once at LAX. He's always standing near the velevet ropes at checkin.

Hi Lucky,

I have an urgent question for you. I booked a last minute award ticket using lifemiles travelling on Swissair line departing in two days. But I can't add an infant to my ticket because both life mile and Swissair refused to do so. I somewhere saw people who had similar issues before just had a travel agent do it., But I could not find any relevant information. Do you have any insighths? Can you recommend a travel agent who can help me with this issue?

Thanks,
Yang
