This has to be one of the better Hyatt Regency properties. But what a God forsaken place for a Hyatt Regency. Detroit doesn't have a Hyatt, but this town that most Americans have never heard of has one of the better Hyatt hotels that I have seen in a long, long time.
Stayed here a couple of years ago and fully agree it's a great hotel, and for the market it's way better than anyone would ever expect - probably better than 99% of Hyatts in the U.S. I still remember being almost shocked by how good the breakfast was.
BTW the last two pictures (of the city) shouldn't be captioned "Hyatt Regency Dushanbe."
I rarely get a welcome note anymore (as a "globalist" the hard way), let alone fresh fruit and cookies!

"This town that most American never heard of" - I don't know that this should be part of the Hyatt criteria.
Maybe a reason for more Americans to get to know of somewhere different.
And the hotel looks great
I was there 2 years ago traveling. The hotel is in a great location. Upgraded to a corner room overlooking the Tea House. Great food, they have/had an all you can eat Rack of Lamb buffet for $16 USD. Great Staff, when I arrived on my return stay, I was greeted with a short version of Happy Birthday and a small cake, a nice touch.
I went last year and probably will go back again shortly for work. Enjoyed the rooms, view, and most importantly the incredible service. The cappuccino at breakfast was indeed a highlight and my server would swirl a design in most mornings. What a treat! The city itself is not safe, and has rampant police corruption so do NOT walk around alone or in small groups as I and others have been accosted by police asking for a "special tip" for the made up holiday or other excuse. My business partner has been all over the country and it is arid and so unbelievably poor because leadership spends all the money on this making this city green and ornate, including piping in water for all the plants that are grown there. It is difficult to see such poverty juxtaposed against such lavish waste.
