To your question, I stayed at Hyatt Places in Amsterdam and Bangkok -- both had far superior breakfast spreads than in the USA.

I tend to find Hyatt Place's actually have the nicest breakfast spreads of any US chain hotel. Certainly better than what you'd get at your average Hampton, Fairfield, Element, or Holiday Inn or what you'd find at a Sheraton club lounge. Some even have some nice local stuff (I think the one in Portland, ME had local cheeses and smoked meats as well as local pastries) Also points for serving on real plates.
Where the chain does consistently let me down is in the gym category. That gym is par for almost every Hyatt Place I've stayed at and it's baffling that they have the worst gyms of any hotel in their class given how forward thinking the rest of the chain is.
I'd be interested to know how often you actually check out of hotels. In the US I almost never actually checkout. Overseas it depends on the chain i am staying at if i would checkout or not.
Was this delay covered by any credit card delay insurance? Would be great if you did a write up on the process for getting reimbursed (I don't recall if an article was already written on your blog about this in the past).

Nothing about that column between the bed and the window? For a single traveler, it doesn't look like it would be an issue, bit for a couple, it looks like it would be annoying for whoever has that side of the bed.
Wow. Hyatt is so consistent with their furniture. That looks exactly like every other Hyatt Place I’ve stayed in.
Stayed here 1 night at the end of my Armenia trip. Staff were great, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast pix are very nice but not what I experienced: at the time I was there it was really mobbed and staff really struggled to keep everything stocked so it wasn’t the most pleasant breakfast for me.
