While this is pretty niche, a former Marriott in Jakarta has just become a Hyatt, and I’m pretty excited about it. I first wrote about this several months ago, but wanted to provide an update, as the hotel has just opened.

I think the more interesting question is why there are multiple all-club hotels in Jakarta? I guess it works for that city.

Mandarin Oriental Jakarta has been a good luxury mainstay for a while. They recently updated the food side of things, although the Spa side is under renovation right now; hopefully done by the time you go.

After multiple visits to the GH JKT , I just cancelled my next upcoming week there .
The rooms have bare floors and unless you enjoy the sound of unpadded furniture scraping above already low ceilings, bring earplugs. Newly renovated? Shower doors that leak. AC completely unregulated. One stay the lights went on themselves t 3 and 4 AM. the next stay it was the TV going on by itself 5 nights , even after supposedly being fixed- unplugging it seemed to work better than the maintenance . The club lounge is either zoo or a nursery depending on your perspective- screaming children running and crying infants - not unlike the GH KL. The food and alcohol is pedestrian at best!
location is excellent if you want to stay in a mall, otherwise everything is a grab ride away.
Forget upgrades at the Keraton !
Visit the club lounge at the GH and decide if you want an all club hotel !

The Ritz Carlton and JW, not only cheaper than your quoted 200-300 $ price range but so much more superior in quality and spaciousness of rooms.

Shangri la much better value than Hyatt,
As is Hotel Mulia, a beautiful hotel with exceptionally spacious rooms.

I have elite status at Hyatt, Hilton and Marriott, and have stayed primarily at Hyatt exclusively for the past 3 years.
I have come to realize it is the hotel , not the brand , be it Asia, Africa or elsewhere !!

Although I like a hotel lounge as much as the next guy, I would not want the extra cost of a lounge built into my room rate as I cannot always use or benefit from that lounge.

So I prefer the option of paying less for a room without lounge access if I know I won't be using that lounge.

Also part of the fun of a lounge is that it is exclusive. But it is not exclusive if every guest in the hotel is using it, plus their guests, friends and gate-crashers.

You’ll be going there to review Park Hyatt Jakarta, obviously.

Please do a review of the Langham Jakarta. Skip the RC Pacific Place, it's basically a high-end dorm with excellent services but cramped and not very aesthetically appealing public spaces
