Another thing to note is that they have been doing some Prive deals here and there, which when stacked with a CAA cover all the bases. I'm checking in next month and looking forward to seeing what it's all about!

Stayed here last week, Terrace Suite upgrade, impressed with the room. The new club lounge was as advertised, both happy hour and breakfast rivalled anything I’ve seen in the region. Would definitely return.

Stayed there right before covid and the property was dated. It also had a bit of a weird vibe to me, though I was rather jetlagged and hungover from an overindulgence in SA F.

The old bar was popular with my ex-pat friends working in Singapore for happy hour and also had tons of escorts. I sure hope Brix is the same way.

I stayed there in 2019 before the renovation. The pro was that the rooms were spacious (I was in a suite - 1 or 2 bedroom, can't remember) and the restaurants were very nice as well. The rooms were extremely dated though. I stayed at the Grand Hyatt Tokyo Roppongi prior to this hotel, so the contrast between them was huge.

The old Grand Club was on the top floor, but it wasn't accessible via elevator. You had to walk up a flight of stairs. One person in my party was handicapped, so this wasn't possible. We had gotten club access specifically for daily breakfast. As a result, the hotel GM comped us free 2 daily meals (breakfast and dinner) for our entire party in the hotel's restaurants on the ground floor. So, excellent service but dated rooms. Glad to hear the latter has been updated. The rooms look amazing based on the renderings. Can't wait to be back!

I stayed there in 2022 and loved the lounge and staff - they were excellent. The rooms were nice, though very dated. The only downside was "professional ladies" in the lobby, who gave it a weird vibe. I wonder if that's gonna remain.

I had the option to stay here last year when the hotel had just started to open up again from the renovations but chose to stay at the Andaz instead because it cost fewer World of Hyatt points and I preferred the location. The Andaz was fine but just didn't feel distinctive. I'm still not sure if I made the right decision or not, because the renovated rooms here do look very good.

The new rooms are really nicely done. It's a shame they didn't refurb the breakfast restaurant etc downstairs imo. Felt very old when I was there earlier this year.

That Andaz Singapore is underwhelming. Won’t be surprised if it’s the next candidate for a refurb.

Living in Singapore, I had coffee there a couple of weeks ago. With respect to only the lobby and breakfast restaurant, I did not notice any significant changes or improvements. As a fun fact, this hotel was the home to the Crazy Rich Asians cast during filming in 2017.

I agree that the restaurant doesn’t look that different to when I was their I’m 2019 and celebrated Lunar New Year with my team there

I stayed there in December 2024 and recall being very disappointed with the room and service. I forgot the reasons why but its location is undoubtedly the best.

Walked by the other day and it appears Brix has been preserved. The better days were way back when it was Brannigans!

Off on a tangent, but this is one of the things I love about hotels outside the US. The restaurants tend to actually be good, or at least they are in my experience. In the US, even the "upscale" hotel restaurants tend to be way overpriced for at best average food. The one time I had something at a hotel restaurant in the US that I thought was delicious was from the Kimpton Monaco DC, and it was some kind of Korean fusion marinated pork belly and fried rice all wrapped into an omelet.

I spent 4 nights in this hotel last July. King bed deluxe room in the Grand Wing, Room fantastic and a great renewed Grand Club.
Despite I am Explorist and a guest since this hotel was just Hyatt Regency Singapore I didn-t receive any check-in priority as well welcome gift in the room.
Everything is at lower level compared with the Grand Hyatt Singapore before COVID.
