Love Dublin. Any more reports?

I was thinking about this hotel next time i am in Dublin. Very handy about the airport bus. What was the cost in $ and or points?

I was a bit confused until I re-read the byline and saw that it was posted by Andrew. 🙂

It seems like a decent enough hotel, and the breakfast seems a bit better than typical US HGIs, with what looks like options you'd have in a full English (or would it be Irish in this case?) and cold cuts (Yum!). 😀

I haven't stayed at an HGI in a while, so I guess I'm surprised that this one has Peter Thomas Roth amenities. Is that normal these days? And it's a bit odd to have that mixed in with Gilchrist & Soames Spa Therapy lotion. Did you use any of the hotel's other facilities (assuming they have any)?

We stayed there on September and I pretty much agree with the review except the breakfast is far more than you get in most hotels. Hi did get charged for the breakfast though. When I called about it I was told I got 500 points instead of breakfast! Ha, like $50 for two breakfasts, and they acted like 500 points was compatible. I would stay here again.

It would be nice to tell us what you paid or how many Hilton Honor Points it cost.

Good report but Temple Bar is our touristy area, you'll find more locals hanging out/drinking around the South William Street/Dame Lane/George Street area as well as Camden Street.

Looks nice and comfy though not very luxurious. I will keep this in mind in case I'll visit Dublin (with budget) some day. I have Amex too so that would a be a good hotel to choose.

I was there recently for 10 days over Thanksgiving and it's well located for the new tech areas in Dublin that are all around that part of the city that historically was run-down. The gym is not bad, and there's also an inexpensive laundry facility in the hotel (off the lobby). The wifi is fast and the staff is pretty warm. Dublin doesn't have a lot of good hotel chain options and this one while on the more basic part of the spectrum is good value. I also have the Amex/Hilton gold status which brought me there and it compares favorably with most other sub 350Euro/night options.

How much was your room per night? Will be in Dublin in May and wNted to stay here, but currently the hotel is asking for over €200 a night.

For those who were asking, I paid €149/night (tax included).
