Since the Hilton gift card loophole closed, it's very hard to get value out of this card. I closed mine this month.
Only if there was a world resort in a gambling Mecca in the USA that charges $100+ upon booking and when you cancel the stay a few days later the AMEX $50 credit stays...
You’re looking at base spend. But if you spend in the internet shopping category, the earnings are 4 ppd. The grocery spend cetegory is 6 ppd. By your valuation, you’re talking 2% and 3% (a very reasonable return) before factoring in the value of the free night certificate. And that first account for restaurant spending (for which there are be better cards out there (but for which the return isn’t bad on surpass at 6 ppd 3%) or Hilton spending 12 ppd 6%).
That's a picture of Pedregal. I, for one, would like to see a Hilton resort in Sun Valley or Vermont or Montreal, or somewhere totally American in like the southeast of New Mexico.
I did earn 3 free nights from the Aspire card last year and just used them earlier this month on 3 nights at Waldorf Astoria Costa Rica Punta Cacique (normally charge 120,000 points/night or over $1100/night in cash). The value of the redemption can be very valuable!
