It depends. I have been to Taormina many times before they had a White Lotus there. The place was quieter and more affordable. I just visited it this past summer and it is a total zoo. Locals claim the White Lotus brought flocks of tourists to the city that are there to post on social media vs enjoying the place. The place is super crowded, super expensive and all you see are Instagramers everywhere. I heard from some locals that most people don’t spend much money there but go for the posts. The city even offers a White Lotus tour that takes tourists to the spots where the show was filmed. As for the Four Seasons, it used to be easy to visit the hotel and access the bar. Now you can only access if you are a guest or have a reservation so they don’t want people there just for social media posts. I am glad they are not doing the next show in Europe.

@lucky I just discovered that Max with ads is now included free with a Doordash Dashpass subscription, which you can get for free with your Chase Sapphire Reserve. I don't recall seeing any of the points blogs picking up on this but it appears this has been around since August of this year. For those who haven't seen White Lotus and want to get it for free I'd guess many of your readers can take advantage.
